Pretty, Pretty

So, once again I splurged and bought all the components for a second guitar. The new design was smaller and had a humbucker/single-coil setup for an increased sonic palette. I initially intended for the new one to be made with maple, but that stuff seemed even heavier than the ash that I used for my first guitar. I settled on poplar, which would be light, easy to finish, and still had a groovy grain pattern. Here's the finished product:

Homewrecker II

I then decided that a new guitar deserved a new amp. So I bought a used one:

I feel that I actually did improve my luthiere abilities with the second guitar. I don't have access to a wood shop anymore, so I haven't made a third guitar yet. I think about it every once in a while, but for now, building stompboxes satisfies the need quite well. Click here for a list of my all of my amps and commercial effects.
